Travelling to Singapore
Singapore is one among the top places that people love to tour and visit. If you are in your Asia exploring plan, Singapore is a must to visit destinations. However, keep in mind. Singapore is not a budget-friendly destination. You need having bucks in your pocket if you want to have a chill out all around Singapore. Another interesting fact is, in Singapore. You will find a large number of foreign populations or expats living and working here. Approximately 64% out of 5.6 million of the total population are expats bringing in the most diversified culture among people living in. As a reason, for any first timer travelling to Singapore, it becomes extremely difficult to make a choice on where to stay or see? This article is going to give you an idea about answering the above questions that may come in the mind of any traveller.
Where to Stay in Singapore, if you are travelling to Singapore for the first Time?
Finding a cheap hotel at a better location in Singapore can be extremely challenging. The reason is the option is plenty, but it has to fit your pocket as well as the attractions must be nearby to move around. When it was my first-time travel to Singapore, I stayed in a couple of hotels and enjoyed my stay out there. They were ABC Premium Hostel, Dream Lodge, Blue Jazz Hostel, etc. is few among my top picks if you are a bit tight on your budget. All these hotels are located at a nice location in and around the city attractions. These hotels also offer free breakfast and Wi-Fi. However, if you are, not budget travellers then stay at the Movenpick Sentosa and enjoy your luxurious stay at the hotel.
What to See in Singapore, if you are travelling to Singapore for the first Time?
Singapore has plenty of options to see and enjoy. It is indeed a hard choice to decide on what to pick and what not. I was on an utter dilemma o decide and finally decided on the list. I am sharing below my best picks to see if you are travelling to Singapore for the first Time.
Universal Studios Singapore – No wonder, the whole earth knows about this place. It is amazing to believe such a gigantic well-organized theme park spread across an area of approximately 49 acres and located at the heart of the city. You cannot even imagine the crowd it draws on weekends. The whole theme park has approximately 28 thrilling rides those are based on Hollywood movie themes. Single entry pass can cost you approximately 74 USD, but they offer a discount for couple entry passes. This is a must to visit spot in case you landed Singapore for the first time.
Night Safari at Singapore – Well, this was my favourite as I love animals and in any country, I visit, I will definitely explore the wildlife out there. The world first nocturnal zoo is definitely going to mesmerize you. The uniqueness of this zoo is it’s opened only during the night time and the animals kept here remain active during the night. The zoo is spread across an area of 86 acres and home to more than 2500 wild animals. Once you enter into the Zoo, there will be an initial 20 minutes show that will give you an overview idea about what you are going to experience. After this, you get into a tram that circles you around the entire jungle. From Tiger to red deer, Indian rhinoceros, etc. everything is here. There are various shows organized as well to entertain the visitors. This zoo opens at 6 pm, and the last entry time is 11 PM. You can buy the admission tickets online to get a discount. My favourite was the multi-park admission entry tickets for 88 USD per person. It includes Tram rides at Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari and Singapore Zoo, Wild Animal Carousel ride, Amazon River Quest and Reservoir and Cruise rides at the River Safari. Visit this amazing attraction and I guarantee you will have an amazing experience.
Tree-top Walk at MacRitchie Reservoir – This was again one of my top picks for anyone travelling to Singapore for the first time. It’s a 250-meter long wooden bridge surrounded by forest giving you a beautiful view of greenery all over.
Other than these, there are unlimited attractions to see and enjoy in Singapore. Majority of them are paid, and you cannot enjoy Singapore if you are on a budget trip. The last and most important tourist attraction is Marina Bay to get a picture next to the iconic Merlion statue and keep in your travel photo-book.
Singapore is definitely a traveller’s choice and ranks among the top places to tour and visit without any doubt. Moreover, there are excellent connecting flights to other Asian Top Tourist destination in case you plan to visit. Spend 3 to 4 days in Singapore to enjoy the city and its beauty and grab golden memories to cherish longer with you.
